Assistance for treatment of internally displaced children with severe flu complications

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center provides assistance for treatment of internally displaced children from Donbas, who require intensive therapy (reanimation) due to severe flu complications.

 

"With the deterioration of epidemiological situation, the Humanitarian Center's hotline is receiving requests for medications from parents, whose children have been taken to intensive care department with pneumonia and acute bronchitis. These are the consequences of flu they had. Assistance with the required sets of medications has already been provided to five children from one month to 12 years old", ‒ Iryna Temerko, the Head of 'Targeted Assistance' at the Humanitarian Center, shares. 

 

The assistance with treatment of flu complications is provided to internally displaced children from Donbas at the age of 0-18 years old, when:

  • a child has severe form of influenza with pulmonary and extrapulmonary complications;
  • a child is taken to intensive care department (reanimation).

 

The Humanitarian Center provides one-time assistance, a package of medications to relieve the acute phase of the disease and stabilize the health of the child who was taken to intensive care unit.
