17 more children were provided with assistance for treatment. How to file an application?

29.02.2016

Over the last two weeks Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center helped 19 more people, 17 of them are children from 2 to 15 years old.  All of them require urgent treatment or surgery.

Children received medications to treat chronic renal failure, exostosis, congenital disorders of nervous system, severe aplastic anemia and other complex diseases.

Among those who asked for help is 5-year-old Polina. Before the war her family lived in Marinka, but they were forced to escape to the neighbouring Kurakhove due to hostilities. They managed to save the child from war, but not from its consequences. Due to the experienced stress the girl's numerous diseases have exacerbated. Polina has congenital abnormality of brain development, epilepsy, partial atrophy of optic nerve and scoliosis of thoracolumbar region of spine. Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center has already helped the family to purchase expensive medications before. This time Polina's parents asked to purchase a specialized orthopedic chair. Soon the Humanitarian Center's volunteers will hand it over to Kurakhove.

The Humanitarian Center continues providing targeted assistance for urgent treatment and surgeries. The applications can be left via the Humanitarian Center's hotline 0800 509 001 or sent to [email protected]
