Awareness raising campaign Stop TB in Ukraine starts on 24-25 August in 4 cities with population over one million people
The campaign starts in Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkov in summer 2007 on 24-25 August as part of nationwide project Stop TB initiated by Foundation for the Development of Ukraine.
Representatives of the Foundation will approach local citizens in the mostly crowded sites (squares, markets, parks, and public gardens). The campaign aims to inform population about the danger of TB epidemic spreading and, most important, about ways to detect and prevent the disease. Citizens of four megacities can access details about Stop TB project, hotline number, and other information required to fight the epidemic from competent activists of the Foundation.
The Foundation is going to hold awareness raising campaigns Stop TB in Ukraine in Odessa, Lvov, Nikolayev, Kherson, and other cities by the end of 2007.
