Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine Paid First UAH 1.6m To Dnepropetrovsk Victims
Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine transferred UAH 1.6m to personal accounts of the residents of 127, Mandrykovskaya Str., Dnepropetrovsk on 23 October. This was the first part of the help provided to victims of gas blast occurred on 13 October. The aid will be paid first to families that have casualties.
The decision was made on 18 October at the meeting of Ad Hoc Coordinating Council consisting of Anatoliy Zabolotny, Director of Foundation for Development of Ukraine; Yuriy Vilkul, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Chairman; and dwellers of the damaged house. The money was allocated as follows: each apartment of the 1st and 2nd blocks will receive UAH 5,000; residents of the 4th block will get UAH 10,000, and residents of the 3rd block – UAH 20,000.
The meeting of Coordinating Council scheduled for 25 October at 9.00 a.m. will firstly discuss the mechanism of allocating UAH 5m help to families of the killed people.
The session will also consider the following issues:
- Helping the family of 19-year-old Svetlana Yegorova, who lived in 98, Mandrykovskaya street and was killed by the blast.
- Helping residents that became disabled as a result of the tragedy
- Helping people that didn't own their apartments
As it was reported earlier, the Foundation for Development of Ukraine allocated UAH 10m help victims of the gas blast in Dnepropetrovsk. An Ad Hoc Coordinating Council was established to control distribution and payments. The Foundation calls the injured people that need help to address the headquarters located in school No.76 located in 2, Mandrykovskaya street.
