Akhmetov’s Foundation keeps providing money aid to the victims in Dnipropetrovsk
The following decisions were made after the regular meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine (the participants of the meeting included the Minister of Emergency Issues Nestor Shufrich, Director of the Foundation Anatoliy Zabolotnyy and the Chairperson of Dnepropetrovsk Oblast Council Yuriy Vilkul and other members of the CC):
• UAH 4,100,000 out of UAH 5,000,000 allocated for the families whose members died in the gas blast shall be distributed between the families of the dead victims (23 people) and UAH 600000 shall be left as a reserve for future payments.
Thus, every family of dead victims will get (considering the previous payments) UAH 191,304.
• UAH 2,300,000 out of UAH 5,000,000 allocated as a charity aid for the families suffered from the gas blast with no death cases shall be left as a reserve for future payments considering possible additional adjustments: some families shall get higher payments due to heavy destruction of their apartments and in some families there are family members who are undergoing long treatment after the tragedy and need additional cash funds.
Thus, depending on the damage extent and taking into account previous payments the families affected by the gas blast (with no death cases) will get to their personal accounts:
- tenants of the 1st and 2nd block (left side) will get a compensation in the amount UAH 6,739.13.
- tenants of the 2nd block (right side) will get a compensation in the amount UAH 10,108.7.
- tenants of the 4th block (right side) will get a compensation in the amount UAH 16,847.8.
- tenants of the 4th block (stories 1-7, left side) will get a compensation in the amount UAH 23,587.
- Tenants of the 3rd block and the 4th block (8-10 stories, left side) will get a compensation in the amount UAH 47,173.9.
A representative of the Foundation Vlasta Shovkovskaya worked at the place of tragedy for 2 days. On the basis of the applications for material aid accepted from the victims on the individual basis the Coordinating Council made the following decisions:
- to transfer UAH 125,000 to Antonina Prokopchuk (78 years) and UAH 125,000 to Oleg Yarka (38 years) who became invalids as the result of the tragedy;
- to provide charity aid in the total amount UAH 45,000 on the basis of three applications of the tenants who were not the hosts of the apartments but rented them on the basis of lease agreements and at the moment of the gas blast were in the apartments in Building #127 at Mandrykovskaya Street.
- to provide charity aid in the amount UAH 20,000 to Anna Ovsiy, a tenant of Building #98a at Mandrykovskaya Street.
The only unsettled issue concerns Sergey Cleymenov (a full orphan, 23 years) who was killed at the gas blast. The Foundation allocated money in his name. The next meeting of the Coordinating Council will consider the issue who will get the money. The next meeting is to take place within the next 10 days and shall handle the issues of money distribution and consideration of additional applications.
As it was reported earlier, on October 15 Foundation for Development of Ukraine allocated UAH 10 million to the people suffered in the gas blast in Dnepropetrovsk. Coordinating Committee was established to control distribution and payment of the cash funds.
