On Monday, November 26 Joint Campaign of the Corporate Foundation for Development of Ukraine and the National Trading Network “Amstor” will be launched within the framework of the national project of the Foundation “Stop Tuberculosis in Ukraine”.

 

The campaign will involve 11 cities of Ukraine: Donetsk, Makeyevka, Proletarka, Petrovka, Gorlovka, Mariupol, Zaporozhye, Melitopol, Severodonetsk, Nikolayev and Kremenchug and will last for one month up to December 26, 2007.

At the cash desks of “Amstor” supermarkets of all the mentioned cities there will be installed money boxes for donations.

 

The money collected will be used to improve social conditions of the patients in anti-TB institutions of each Oblast (Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Lugansk, Nikolayev and Poltava). 

 

Each visitor of the “Amstor” network will be given a possibility to make a voluntary contribution to combat TB and thus to participate in the problem solution. Everyone not indifferent to the problem will get a Christmas toy in the form of a camomile, which is a symbol of TB combat and thus will be able to put the decoration on the Christmas tree in the supermarket hall.

 

The visitors can get more detailed information regarding the TB problem from information leaflets, which will be placed on the desk next to the Christmas tree. The plasma display will be also showing a video.

 

We are inviting mass media to the opening of the campaign.

 

The launch of the Campaign:

 

13:00 – Director or a representative of each supermarket greets mass media. The Director installs the last money box and is the first to make a contribution and then a group of employees also makes their contributions. Then all of them go to the Christmas tree and hang up the first Christmas decorations –camomiles.  Amid the participants of the Event in Donetsk there are Vladimir Vagorovskiy, the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of “Amstor” Group, Anatoliy Zabolotny, Director of the Corporate Foundation for Development of Ukraine and Vlasta Shovkovskaya, External Communications Director of the Foundation.
