On 16 July 2010 the national portal SIROTSTVY.NET, BTV GROUP, Donetskie Novosti weekly and Rinat Akhmetov's Foundation for Development of Ukraine present the See with Your Heart photo exhibition devoted to orphans in Donetsk. The exhibition features works by five Ukrainian photographers: Darya Pavlova, Alexandr Indychiy, Anna Gordeychuk, Marina Karpiy and Dmitriy Larin, who visited orphanages in various regions of Ukraine and conveyed their vision and impressions in their photo works. The exhibition was earlier displayed in Kiev.

Donetsk City shopping mall supported the idea of opening the photo exhibition in Donetsk and will host the event from 16 July to 16 August.

The exhibition’s objective is to draw public attention to the problem of orphanhood in Ukraine and to help those children make their cherished dream come true – find mum and dad.

Anatoliy Zabolotny, Director of Rinat Akhmetov's Foundation for Development of Ukraine: «The See with Your Heart project presents 25 photos, whereas in total there are 31, 000 children to be adopted. What we see is the photo album of our society. Do we feel happy looking at these photos? Will the children put these photos into their albums or will they rather erase childhood from their memories? ...  If one of these photos changes someone's life and moves to someone's home, if every day at least one child from www.sirotstvy.net is adopted by a family in every region, soon we won't have to fill the website with more and more children's profiles. Our public mission will be performed, then.”
