Rinat Akhmetov's Foundation for Development of Ukraine and Pirogovo National Architecture and Life Museum started a joint project to analyze the museum’s work in the respect of international standards of museum affairs. This project will help lay the basis for the museum’s strategic development plan and will be an important step in the implementation of modern approaches to the museum activities, customer relations, use of international experience in the museum management.

The museum activity analysis will be carried out by a group of specialists from the USA. The group is headed by Linda Norris, who is studying Ukrainian museums under the Fulbright grant. Over the last year, Ms Norris held a number of workshops, trainings, research meetings and trips in different regions of Ukraine, and worked with many Ukrainian museums. All this will contribute to a quality analysis of Pirogovo Museum.

Currently, the specialists have completed the first meetings, interviews with the museum’s staff and field surveys. The final project results in the form of outcome-based report and the strategic plan proposal will be submitted next October.

This project is the next step in the long-term cooperation between Rinat Akhmetov's Foundation and Pirogovo National Architecture and Life Museum.
