FDU’s Mobile Digital Chest X-Ray Lab Provides Free Examination for People of Donetsk Oblast
A mobile digital chest X-ray lab owned by Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine (FDU) provides medical examination for people from towns and settlements of Donetsk Oblast. On 10 March, the mobile X-ray unit starts operating in Starobeshevo district. The district’s residents will have a chance to get a free X-ray examination without a doctor’s appointment.
The Fluoromobile was purchased by Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation under the Program on Fighting TB Epidemic in Donetsk Oblast in 2007-2011 to improve diagnostics of TB and other pulmonary diseases. High resolution of the digital X-ray unit enables to diagnose TB, silicosis, tumors and other lung abnormalities at early stages. This will facilitate treatment and enhance its efficiency.
The mobile digital chest X-ray lab of Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation has been operating in Donetsk Oblast since October 2008.
