The Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Headquarters helps the Peaceful who suffered as a result of the armed conflict in the Donbass. For the fourth year, the Headquarters provides them with food, supplies medicines for the seriously ill and saves the wounded children on both sides of the line of contact.

Since the beginning of military operations in Marinka, fire has not ceased and people are dying. The residents of the outskirts suffer most, it is dangerous for them to stay even in their own yard. Karina is 15 now, she finished the 9th form and almost recovered from injuries sustained in April 2017. Then the projectile flew directly into the courtyard of her home. The girl remained alive miraculously.

"Everything was as if in a fog. I was deafened for two minutes. My parents and I ran into the house, I did not hear anything", recalls Karina, a resident of Marinka.

Concussion of the brain, bruise of the chest - the doctors made such a diagnosis. The Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Headquarters provided the child with the necessary medicines. For the time of work of the Headquarters, more than 5.5 thousand children received targeted help for treatment.

How to get targeted held for treatment

Targeted help for treatment may be obtained by children under 18 from Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and children from families of temporary immigrants.

The Headquarters provides assistance for urgent surgery and urgent treatment for children who were severely injured as a result of emergency, road accident or fire. The Headquarters also supports the children injured as a result of hostilities with rehabilitation technology means of (crutches, walkers, sticks, walking sticks, etc.).

Assistance is provided to children who fall into the following preferential categories:

• families raising orphans, children under guardianship;

• large families with 3 or more children under 18;

• single mothers or widows with children under 18;

• families in difficult life circumstances (having more than one is seriously ill person).
