The convoy #300 with humanitarian aid from the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center arrives in Mariupol

10.04.2017

Today, on April 10, 2017, the 300th convoy of the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center arrived in Mariupol and delivered food to residents of the "grey zone" and settlements on the firing line.

11 heavy-duty trucks with 220 tons of food were sent from the Center's distribution warehouse in Dnipro and delivered to Mariupol. The volunteers will use it to form about 30,000 adult and children survival kits.

"Tomorrow our volunteers will start forming survival kits and delivering them to the "grey zone" settlements. The frontline settlements observe acute need in help, people have to survive under shelling, without food and means of subsistence. In April the humanitarian aid from the Center will be received by nearly 30,000 people of the most vulnerable categories, – Natalia Baryshpolska, the Head of "Humanitarian Aid" direction, shares. – Over 2.5 years of the Center's operation our trucks transported 130,000 tons of products. This amount would fit into 520 Mriya airplanes (the largest cargo plane in the world). This aid helped hundreds of thousands of people, living on both sides of the contact line, to survive".

The humanitarian cargo has all the necessary  supporting documents, confirming the quality of products.

"Before loading the trucks, all products go through quality control: they are checked for package integrity, expiration dates, availability of quality certificates and laboratory protocols. Each product unit is loaded in a certain truck. This helps to load the cargo fast, with no delays at the warehouse. Over the entire period of its operation the Center sent more than 6,500 heavy-duty trucks with food, which  went through five-stage quality control and corresponds to all the required standards", – Yuri Krutko, the Head of quality control department at the Humanitarian Center, shares.

As of April 10, 2017, the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 11,725,000 adult and children survival kits on both sides of the contact line. Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center is the largest humanitarian mission in Ukraine. The Center's assistance saved more than one million people.
