Over four days at least 952 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to Donbas
The Humanitarian Center, DTEK and Metinvest continue providing prompt assistance to Donbas on both sides of the contact line. By order of Rinat Akhmetov, they united their resources to save civilian population in the areas of active hostilities. At least 952 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered from January 31 till February 3.
During the indicated period Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center sent 880 tons of food in three convoys of trucks. Specifically for residents of Avdiivka, which remained without electricity and water, the Center delivered 10 tons of food to cook hot meals for those who need it.
Also Avdiivka was sent at least 62 tons of humanitarian aid from Metinvest Group enterprises. These are 26 cubic meters of water, 8 tons of food, 5 diesel generators, 28 tons of diesel fuel, 76 stoves, fire extinguishers, building materials and warm clothing.
All issuing points of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center located in non-government-controlled areas keep operating in emergency mode. As of February 3, our issuing points are closed only in two the most shelled districts. But for their local residents the Humanitarian Center provided the possibility of receiving assistance in any other operating issuing point.
Aside from providing humanitarian aid, we never stop trying to restore water and electricity supply in the settlements damaged by hostilities. Today, on February 3, DTEK power engineers could partially carry out the work to restore power lines in Avdiivka. Emergency works will continue tomorrow, as soon as the "green corridor" is given.
Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center continues to monitor information about injured civilians. According to the latest data, at least 33 persons were injured from January 29 till February 3. The Humanitarian Center is ready to help all the victims and people injured due to shelling. If you know the facts about civilian injuries, please call the Humanitarian Center's hotline: 0800 509 001.
