Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine to Arrange Free Chest X-Ray for Population of Donetsk Oblast
On 10 October, 2008 Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine will launch a mobile digital X-ray laboratory to provide free lung screening without doctor prescription.
Fluoromobile was purchased by Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation under the Program on Fighting TB Epidemic in Donetsk Region in 2007-2011 to improve diagnostics of TB and other pulmonary diseases. High resolution of the digital X-ray unit will enable to diagnose TB, silicosis, tumors and other lung abnormalities at early stages. This will facilitate treatment and enhance its efficiency. Fluoromobile costs UAH 640,000.
The mobile digital X-ray laboratory will start operating in Donetsk and then head to towns and settlements of the oblast. Working hours: 9-00 to 18-00; 9-00 to 14-00 on weekends; Monday is a day off. The schedule and the route of the fluoromobile for the near future are as follows:

11-12 October – Kryty Rynok (Covered Market), parking lot next to Zolotoy Klyuchik Store
14 October – parking lot at Zolotoye Kol’tso Shopping Center,
15 October – Railway Station
16-17 October – Putilovsky bus station
18-19 October – market place in Tekstilshchik district,
21 October - Amstor supermarket in Petrovsky district
22-23 October – market place in Proletarsky district
24 October – Tkachenko Square
25 October - Kalininsky Market

The fluoromobile will be launched at 13-00 on 10 October, 2008 in Lenin Square. Lung X-ray will be open at the same time.
