On 14 August, the Foundation for Development of Ukraine presented the house to Turlyun family from Kerch City (Crimea). The Turlyun family is bringing up 12 underage children.

The keys were handed over to the family by Vitalina Yushchenko, head of Warming a Child with Love, National Presidential Charity Council, and Anatoliy Zabolotny, Director of Foundation for Development of Ukraine.

The house was purchased by the Foundation under Warming a Child with Love project being implemented jointly by the government and businesses. The house costs UAH 827,000. The Foundation protects six large families in the Crimea. Two of them received new houses and another four got funds for overhauls.

All in all the Foundation for Development of Ukraine has purchased 20 houses for large families with over 10 underage children under the project. Altogether 44 families in the Crimea, Donetsk, Zakarpatye, and Luhansk oblasts are currently cared for by the Foundation. The Foundation has donated over UAH 17m to purchase new houses, complete, and overhaul the existing housings.

“It’s fundamentally important for us to have the whole family involved in the process of choosing the house”, says Anatoliy Zabolotny, Director of Foundation for Development of Ukraine. “This is the only way to ensure the family feels comfortable in a new house”.
