Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine (FDU) bought a five-room flat and a house for large families in Luhansk region on 7 July, 2008. The housing was purchased as a part of a joint project Warming a Child with Love realized by businesses and local government, and a memorandum on cooperation signed by the Regional State Administration and the FDU to improve residential problems of large families with 10 or more underage children in Luhansk Region.

The five-room flat was bought for the family of Tukalo (Kirovsk Town) with 11 underage children, while the Kapatsiys (Belovodsk District) with 10 underage children received keys to the house.

As reported earlier, the memorandum provides for spending over UAH 2m to buy new houses for 8 families with regard to their needs and UAH 300,000 to overhaul old facilities for 4 families during the year. Yaroschuk family (Antratsit District) and the Orlovs (Luhansk city) have received new houses under the project to date.
