The Foundation for Development of Ukraine (Svetlana Panushkina) has been supervising the situation for the past two days. Volunteers of the Klichko Foundation will take the duty in the Carpathians on Wednesday. Ruslana expresses her sincere gratitude to Head of Verkhovinsk District Pyotr Kermoshchuk, military pilots of the third Air force Brigade and rescuers that flew with activists to the villages of Verkhovinsk district. Emergency rescuers of Nezhin Town helped much yesterday, in particular crew commander Yuriy Serduk, flight navigator Denis Smagin, board technician Sergey Derevyanyy, instructor-rescuer Vitaliy Gvozd, and medical assistant and rescuer Vladimir Khomenko. At present all the aid is being delivered by helicopters MI-8.

Ruslana spent her own money to buy some 7 tons of food and staff for residents of flood-hit districts. The singer’s mother Nina A. Lyzhichko delivered the help by truck to Galich district of Ivano-Frankovsk region. The cargo was distributed between disaster-victims within a day and today another truck with humanitarian aid set off. Local authorities headed by Chairman of Galich Administration Vasiliy Voron are helping to distribute the goods. To date 16 villages remain flooded.
