The lack of technical vehicles to remove wreckage and clear the way to remote villages is now the most pressing problem, manager of the Foundation working together with Eurovision song contest winner Ruslana reports.

The natural disaster left 38 villages of Verkhovinsk district cut off from the world and destroyed roads, while 16 villages remain without electricity. Air is the only way to get in touch with people.

The inhabitants can get medical and food assistance once Verkhovinsk district is supplied with necessary technical vehicles and tons of mud are removed opening the way for rescuers. The danger of outbreak and spread of epidemic is still high in the district.

At the moment the Foundation for Development of Ukraine is renting and transporting an excavator and a bulldozer to the place of relief works.
