Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine Donated UAH 3.4m to Families of Miners Killed and Injured by Mine Disasters
Following terrible accidents on 23 May at Krasnolimanskaya Coal Company (Rodinskoye Town) and on 8 June at Karl Marx Mine (belongs to the Ordzhonikidzeugol, Yenakievo Town) 45 people injured, 22 of them died, while 2 remain underground.
The Foundation for Development of Ukraine decided to provide UAH 3.4m to help families of the miners killed and injured by accidents. UAH 1.4m was donated to Krasnolimanskaya Coal Company and UAH 2m – to Karl Marx Mine. The mechanism of charity support allocation was adopted by Coordinating Councils consisting of officials of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine, representatives of mine labour collectives, trade unions, mine administrations, and media. The Foundation made another decision to provide material help to those who risked their lives saving people underground – rescuers and miners that assisted professionals to rescue their friends.
The Coordinating Council decided to allocate UAH 3.4m as follows:
The families of killed miners will receive UAH 100,000 each.
Injured people including those with grave traumas will receive up to UAH 100,000. The final payment amounts will be fixed after official decision of the Regional Center of Medical and Social Examination on disability. This category includes 5 victims that stayed above the ground at the time of the explosion at Karl Marx Mine.
Nikolay S. Yevtukhov will receive a double sum of money (Krasnolimanskaya Coal Company) to mark his actions, which saved lives of two miners.
Ten rescuers and workers of Karl Marx Mine will receive UAH 25,000 each for showing particular heroism and sacrifice in the course of rescuing operations.
The miners in satisfactory state that don’t require rehabilitation will receive UAH 10,000 each.

Мой отец , Крохалев Николай Сергеевич , погиб , находясь в клети при взрыве на шахте Карла Маркса.Что прережили мы с мамой - словами не передать.Но , сейчас не об этом. Хочется через сайт выразить благодарность всем сотрудникам Фонда, т.к. не уверен , что благодарственное письмо, отправленное еще в декабре прошлого года , дошло по адресу. Спасибо Вам за чуткость и отзывчивость, за то , что в трудную минуту Вы поддержали нашу семью. И дело даже не в деньгах ( тем более , что их в значительной мере " съела " инфляция ), а в том, как это было сделано. Если- бы также четко работали государственные органы , в стране был бы порядок и процветание. Особая благодарность основателю Фонда. Уважаемый Ринат Леонидович.Я горжусь тем , что есть люди , которые не болтают языками , а делают дело. И вдвойне приятно , что мы с Вами земляки. Пусть хранит Всевышний Вас и Ваших близких.

Н.Витенко - пострадавший на шахте "Карла Маркса"
А кто из спасателей спас хоть одного живого шахтера? Я такого не знаю. Спасали и выдавали на-гора слесари шахты.
