The Foundation for Development of Ukraine hosted a round table to discuss results of “Ukrainian Large Families” project being implemented under the program of the President of Ukraine “Warming a Child with Love” on 20-21 June, 2008 in the Crimea.

The event was attended by Ella Lamakh, Department Head at the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Sport of Ukraine; chiefs of local departments of family, youth, and sport of Donetsk, Luhansk, Transkarpathian, Rovno, and the Crimea Regions; as well as Foundation representatives.

The delegates discussed the problems related to the lack of criteria for selection of families involved in the project, and improvement of the legal framework.

The round table developed:
• criteria of selection of families involved in the project;
• recommendations to the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sport as well as the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine regarding improvement of the project.
