Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine has bought 16 houses for large families with over 10 underage children under project “Warming a Child with Love“ realized jointly by businesses and local government. In fact, the Foundation patronizes 44 families from the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the Transcarpathian region. Memorandums on Cooperation and Interaction have been previously signed with regional state administrations.

Today on the 10th of June, the Foundation for Development of Ukraine has bought a new 134 sq.m. house for the Orlov family with 10 underage children living in Luhansk. It was the 16th house purchased for a large family under the project.

Ten families from the Transcarpathian region (Mukachevo, Irshavsk, Tyachivsk, Rakhovsk, Volovetsk, and Perchinsk areas), three families from Donetsk Region (Mariupol, Dokuchayevsk, and Slavyansk), two families from Luhansk region (Antratsit, and Luhansk), as well as a family from the Crimea (Kerch) have received new houses so far.

A large Kuzmenko family from Mariupol is expected to receive keys for a new house at a grand ceremony on 14 June. This family is bringing up 13 children and lived in a 102 sq.m. house with the living area of 62.5 sq.m. before. The Foundation for Development of Ukraine bought a house with a land lot of 0.l hectare, total house area of 296.6 sq.m, and living area of 146.4 sq.m. in May, 2008.

The Foundation spent around UAH 17m to buy the new house, and complete or overhaul old rooms.
