A monitoring center for supervision of TB Epidemic Fight Program was opened in Donetsk Regional Sanitary and Epidemiologic Center on 10 June, 2008.

The senior management of the center allocated and repaired the room, while the Foundation for Development of Ukraine provided equipment.

The center was created to monitor and assess the program Fighting TB Epidemic in Donetsk Region for 2007-2011. The monitoring will be carried out according to key indicators and allow to track progress of achieving set goals and objectives of the Program.

This has been only the first step in creation of a monitoring center. The Center is expected to operate also on the basis of Regional In-Patient TB Hospital. The Foundation has provided office furniture and lacking equipment for it as well.
