Foundation for Development of Ukraine is going to allocate 12.8 million $USA to construct and equip the surgery block of the "Children’s hospital of the future". The hospital will be built in Kyiv according to the world best standards and it will be equipped with the brand new equipment.
 
This was reported by Rinat Akhmetov, the President of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine, during the telethon on December 17, 2006.
 
"The grand thoughts come from the heart", said the President of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine Rinat Akhmetov. "We are here by the call of heart. Charity means the ability to hear and share other peoples’ pain. Charity also means system fight against system problems. Each of us is in the charity activity and each of us helps neighbors as possible. To our greatest regret, we have system problems and they can’t be settled by one person. We shall unite to win". 
 
"Foundation for Development of Ukraine" will be a partner in the project "Children’s hospital of the future". Within the framework of participation the Foundation is not only going to build the surgery block but it will also participate in the work of the Supervisory Board, it will make proposals and jointly look for settlement of problems arising during construction of the hospital.
 
"We want to construct and equip the surgery block", which is the basis and the heart of the hospital". The most complicated operations will be performed there, the operations, which we cannot perform in Ukraine today" - stated Anataloliy Zabolotnyi, the Director of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine. - We are not just giving the money; we have taken responsibility for construction of the surgery block and for equipping the block with the state-of-the-art equipment of the world standards.
 
"It is important that everybody in "Ukraina 3000 Fund" is very well aware that it’s not just enough to build a modern hospital, it’s necessary to join efforts to make the hospital accessible for the children of Ukraine, so that any family facing the trouble could have a chance to save their child. The most important for us is to ensure that life of each child is taken care on the large scale of the project.", - added Anatoliy Zabolotnyi.
