 23.11.09 - Master class "Traditional Media: Transition to Internet. Global Trends..."

Dear journalists, you are welcome to attend the opening of the third academic year of Digital Future of Journalism programme scheduled for 23 November 2009 at Kyiv Mohyla Academy.   The programme is a joint project of Rinat Akhmetov's Foundation for Development of Ukraine and Mohyla School of Journalism, Kyiv Mohyla Academy National University.

 

The event will be attended by the project founders Sergey Kvit, President, Kyiv Mohyla Academy National University; Natalia Yemchenko, Director of Public Relations and Communications, SCM; Yevgeniy Fedchenko, Director, Mohyla School of Journalism; and Svetlana Panyushkina, Project Manager, Foundation for Development of Ukraine.

 

The programme will start with a master class "Traditional Media: Transition to Internet. Global Trends. Opportunities Used and Lost by Ukrainian Media".

 

The master class will be held by:


- Tim Grout-Smith and Lily Poberezhska, trainers of British consulting company Media Players International. Tim Grout-Smith graduated from the University of Oxford. He had been working for BBC for 26 years before setting up MPI in 2001. Lily Poberezhska holds a diploma from the London School of PR and has worked for BBC as well.
 

- Digital Future of Journalism alumni: Irina Fedoriv, Chief of Information and Analysis Department, Okna-Novosti news programme on STB TV channel; and Mikhail Gannitskiy, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Segodnya newspaper.

 

The master class will be followed by networking with project founders and guest trainers.
