The businessman paid UAH 200m for a super equipment to be installed in Donetsk Cancer Centre.

The city will have equipment for cancer treatment which is unmatched in Ukraine.

The total budget of the project amounts to UAH 200m with 100m to be spent to buy a positron emission tomography (PET) facility, a gamma camera, and a cyber knife for the Donetsk Tumour Center. The PET and gamma camera will significantly improve the quality of cancer diagnostics, help detect the disease at early stages and therefore provide a timely treatment. A cyber knife will help perform successful treatment of different tumour types without operations, pain, in an out-patient treatment mode, and without traditional rehabilitation treatment.

Several modern cancer centres will be established in other Ukrainian cities as well and accept first patients in a year. Source: “Korrespondent”.
