Money has been donated to residents of the destroyed house.

An Ad Hoc Coordinating Council (CC) of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine started working to help victims of the gas blasted on 13 October, 2007 in Dnepropetrovsk. This was reported to Ostrov by press office of the Foundation.

The Coordinating Council includes co-chairmen Anatoliy Zabolotny, Foundation Director; and Yuriy Vilkul, Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council Chairman; as well as his Eminence Iriney, Metropolitan of Dnepropetrovsk and Pavlograd; Irina Shaikhutdinova, chair of non-governmental charitable organization “Bereginya Dnepropetrovshchiny”; Yuliya Zadorozhnyaya, General Director of Sodruzhestvo Broadcasting Company; and residents of Mandrykovskaya str. Iryna Grek, Ludmila Medved, Inna Yarko, Olga Razmanova (from 1, 2, 3, 4 blocks respectively).

 
The CC attended by residents of the damaged house decided to distribute UAH 1.6m of the allocated budget as a first aid among families affected by the blast.

 
The money will be allocated as follows: each apartment of the 1st and 2nd blocks will receive UAH 5,000; residents of the 4th block will get UAH 10,000, and residents of the 3rd block –UAH 20,000. Personal accounts for victims will be opened today in Sberbank Ukrainy.

 
The Ad Hoc Council will control the target use of the provided funds to ensure social justice of the help with due regard to the extent of the loss.

 
As it was reported earlier, the President of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine Rinat Akhmetov donated UAH 10m to support all residents of 127, Mandrykovskaya Str. The families of killed people will receive UAH 5m of the amount. Another half will be shared among families left homeless.
