Digital future comes to Ukrainian journalism

On November 5, Digital Future Journalism School is to open in Ukraine. This project has been implemented by the SCM Corporate Foundation for Development of Ukraine in tandem with Mohyla School of Journalism of the National University Kyiv Mohyla Academy.

The purpose of the program is to train journalists who will form the future of media industry in some time.

Please, note that the training will be provided to people who have already worked in the journalism field. The training will last for 10 months, one week each month. To the words of the organizers, the program is aimed at deep study of digital technologies for journalists irrespective of their speciality.

The journalist training program will be based on such principles as absence of precedence, innovation, high level of professionalism, generality, blending of knowledge and skills, use of the best world experience.

At present the lecturers include specialists from the USA and China.

To the words of Svetlana Panyushkina, despite the fact that organizers expected to have 25 applicants participating in the program, right now they have 218 applications. So the school organizers will have to make a hard decision on selection.
