On 10 October, 2008 Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine will launch a mobile digital X-ray laboratory to provide free lung screening without doctor prescription.

Fluoromobile was purchased by Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation under the Program on Fighting TB Epidemic in Donetsk Region in 2007-2011 to improve diagnostics of TB and other pulmonary diseases. High resolution of the digital X-ray unit will enable to diagnose TB, silicosis, tumors and other lung abnormalities at early stages. This will facilitate treatment and enhance its efficiency. Fluoromobile costs UAH 640,000.

The mobile digital X-ray laboratory will start operating in Donetsk and then head to towns and settlements of the oblast. Working hours: 9-00 to 18-00; 9-00 to 14-00 on weekends; Monday is a day off. The schedule and the route of the fluoromobile for the near future are as follows:
